[QUOTE="Eduard, post: 527246, member: 8959"]Conder, many thanks for your extensive coments (which for some reason i missed before). As you say the 1796 DBC is much more difficult to find that the 1796 Liberty Cap cent, in spite of the relatively high mintage figures. Maybe somebody is out there hoarding?? You say you have all the 1796 varieties, just the S-96 missing!!!!!! wow, i would love to see your collection then! You have the NC's as well? man.... To answer your question, i am not a member of the EAC because of the distance (cannot attend the shows and auctions), and also because i always thought my collection was not really up to par. I think i may only have a handful of coins worthy of the CC. I'll think about it. I have managed to obtain 6 draped busts, and 1 Liberty (S-82). But the only really rare one is my S-105 (R5). That one is really nice. By the way, the S-102 from Shawn finally got here today, after the obligatory 2 weeks to cross the atlantic + stop at german customs (argh!!!). Here are my pictures, the ones above were Shawns. His picture is better than mine i think. In-hand, the surface is quite smooth if not perfect, and the level of detail also as one would expect for a nice VG. I am happy with the coin. Shawn also sent me a copy of CQR (Copper Quotes by Robinson). I don't know how i managed to do without this very useful guide. It is just great i think. So much useful information.
