I went back and looked it up just for you. I keep pretty good documentation on purchase history. I actually started this set in May of 2008! So my cheapest one was a decent MS 54-D for $7. Melt value today for it is 12.73 so a few of them I got good prices on back then.

I've got a little over a grand invested in these and I figure they are worth right around that range. Maybe slightly more now. A couple of mine could be a little better. That set on Craigslist might be a little better than mine, but I'd want to view it in person to see how good it is. It's difficult to take pictures of an entire album. Basically they all just look 'shiny'.

He may be telling the truth but you really wouldn't know what you were getting until you had it in hand. Sometimes you can find good deals on completed sets like that but you just don't know until you have it. Would be risky but may be fair though. That's an average of $33 a coin. Some are less than that and some are much more than that. It's in the ballpark.

I've seen some sets offered on ebay a lot cheaper than that, but it's really difficult to compare the quality of one set to another from pics. You have to look at a lot of these to know what's really good. There's a lot of MS examples that have distracting problems. HTHs.
