Too much. $15 per coin, plus $5 per coin special label, plus $8 processing, plus $3 to return mint packaging, plus $34 return shipping.
so, that comes to about $3,000 per set? [sigh: J/K of course]. or it just seems that high. Pretty expensive.
is there a time frame for this? I might want to hold off until I have a full order to combine shipping costs.
You'll have to check the cut off dates on their website. I can't remember, but anyway mine are shipping to them today.
Okay, let's do the math... 5 sets plus shipping from USMint: $314.70 NGC grading fees, etc for 5 sets: $345.00 Total: $659.70 Wow, grading costs more than the coins. However, IF you get 70s you can probably make a decent profit.
Yeah its a total shot in the dark. I have no idea if I'll make anything at all, a little bit, or a lot. But I'm willing to spend the money and find out. Only doing this once, though. I'm not buying and flipping more than the 5 sets I bought.
Early Releases or First Releases Label request must be received by NGC within 30 days of First Day of Mint Issue date
I will post the grade results here in this thread. Modern says 12 days on the NGC website, but usually they're a little faster and I bet they are all ready and set up to have a HUGE influx of these.
Nice margins on the main label, but the black crayon graffiti and the scuff on the bottom will kill the grade.
If the grade came out less than perfect. Your coin will worth less than raw coins. And if perfect. And you want to sell it to the dealers. Probably you make 10% profit. Everything on this coin business is for dealers and pro graders to make money. Other than that. All of us will be the losers. The only gain we have is the beauty of this hobby that we enjoyed.
