As it was certified mail and I was not at home, the postman left one of those “come and get it” slips in my mailbox. Tuesday comes around and my wife runs to the post office and presents the receipt to the clerk who goes and looks for it. 20 minutes later, the clerk returns saying he can’t find it! They took her phone number and said they’d continue to look for it and call her if they found it. I’m not holding my breath. I think it’s gone. What really irks me though is that It Was At My Door!!! It wasn’t exactly cheap, either, but I’ve only heard of horror stories about the USPS taking responsibility in these cases. Next best job to being a weatherman, I suppose. Both the weather and mail are full of mysterious vortexes that can make sunshine and mail change at a moments notice and no one’s to blame.

*Sigh*

Really though, I'm quite lucky.
