Wow, sorry you got burned on these. I could see how they'd pass at a glance. The TWENTY DOLLARS text on the reverse was the first red flag for me, then looking from there more and more details are just off in some way. Was this online purchase from an actual coin dealer, or someone selling on eBay, Craigslist, etc, and had you done business with them before? If an actual dealer, I would hope it was an honest mistake and they would refund you or exchange it. I've worried about how would I prove that I was not swapping a good coin for bad to scam the dealer out of a refund or exchange. I don't buy coins online (yet at least) but there's a good chance an honest dealer will take your word for it. That has been my experience when my LCS has made a mistake. My LCS is run by great, honest people, but they got burned once. It does happen. They had Cook Islands coins that were deliberately designed to mislead without actually lying (1/4 Oz .24 pure). They got fooled and had bought them as 24k, and some had already gone out the door. When I brought it to their attention, they put a prominent notice on their website that anyone who bought them was to come back in and be made whole. Cash-only shop and just your first name on the receipt, so they couldn't exactly contact the customers directly. The point is, an honest dealer will eat the cost of a mistake and there has to be some trust involved. That's how they get repeat business. If they deny there was any problem and jump through hoops to avoid making it right, that would make me question their original intent. And F the Cook Islands for trying to pull a fast one. Bet my shop puts everything on the Sigma tester now!
