Here,s one for the ages, and being at the right place at the right time, a very difficult note to obtain in any circumstance as a top pop at PMG with a population of only 2 !! a unissued set and a hard get
One thing you will notice right out of the gate is the plate #40 which is consistent with high grade notes in this series
Very nice, always really liked the reverse of the note. I like the 691 series more than the 701 and they are more collectable because more of them made it out and survived.
both the Series 651 and 701 seem to be a bit stagnant on price especially the fractional 651,s those prices have actually dropped
Market saturation with a limited collector base. The Series 701 had no interests to me, no ladies, no Native Americans.
Well i have been a collector of MPC for over 20 years, my two favorites would be these, i have the one and only 68 for the Series 661 $20 and the 611 $10 i have a 66 which is the second highest grade here are those examples
So, why would you perpetuate the error if you know what the real term is? Considering your extensive experience with graded MPC have you considered contacting PCGS to get them to correct it?
Not sure why they use the term but the number is the same regardless and thats the Refrance here, i will shoot Jason an email at PCGS and get the reasoning and will update the thread when i get the answer
