Well, since I bought a new Antoninus Pius today, I figured it did not make sense to keep my mystery purchase so mysterious anymore, so I gave in and opened the package. It just had to be the coin.

Holy cow, this is small. 9.6mm, it's just under 50% the size of a dime at it's widest point. If I'm honest, I'm glad I got it, but I wish my mistake coin had been a little well...bigger. The coin is simply so small that this is the best I could do. Notice it does have a scratch on the boar, looks like an ancient scratch. It doesn't particularly bother me and it's something that's barely visible in the hand (due to how tiny the coin is).

Well, since I bought a new Antoninus Pius today, I figured it did not make sense to keep my mystery purchase so mysterious anymore, so I gave in and opened the package. As you all will recall, that's the coin I bought when half-asleep in front of my computer, and had no recollection buying at all. So I opened the package and at first thought I was like...."Where's the coin?" o_O After some moments of panic I realized there was a little tiny spec on a corner of the 2x2 flip. It just had to be the coin. Holy cow, this is small. 9.6mm, it's just under 50% the size of a dime at it's widest point. If I'm honest, I'm glad I got it, but I wish my mistake coin had been a little well...bigger. I was kind of hoping it would have been the Nerva denarius I was looking at so much that very same night...but oh well, it will do. This has been so difficult to photograph, even my best photo (see below) does not look as great as it does in hand. The coin is simply so small that this is the best I could do. Notice it does have a scratch on the boar, looks like an ancient scratch. It doesn't particularly bother me and it's something that's barely visible in the hand (due to how tiny the coin is).
