Good day, my friends. I have an interesting collection of a coins of the Principality of Monaco. It is a good-known fact that Monaco is the one of the smallest countries in the whole world. It has an area 2,02 sq.km. only. The population of Monaco is not numerous too - 35986 only. Monaco is a monarchy with an old traditions. Prince Albert II is the ruler. Monaco is the member of the EURO-zone. But until the January 1 2002 Monaco had an own currency - franc of Monaco. 1 franc of Monaco was equal to 1 French franc. So I want to show my small collection
Cinq (5) centimes 1837, copper or brass, size - 28 mm. Monaco Mint. Ruler: prince Honore V (1819-1841).
10 centimes 1962, aluminium-bronze, mintage - 750000 pcs. Paris Mint. Ruler: Rainier III (1949-2005).
As usual I am impressed with your collection and am in awe that someone from one of my favourite places in the world has such collection.
Thank you for the thread & photos. I was going to add a Monaco coin photo that I previously posted at CT but I don't know where to find all those previously posted photos. Are they gone forever?
