Having spent the last 7 months (with an average of 3 hours per day) reading numismatic books/literature, researching wonderful sources such as CoinTalk, traveling to the local coin shops with my 16x loupe to look at any and as many coins as possible, and searching bank rolls for errors, I have finally made my first real substantial purchase. My collection has finally been born and I am truly elated and proud to be the owner of this fantastic 1942 Walking Liberty Proof, NGC graded PF-66, with a green CAC sticker topping it off. I love the coin, and like so many other members have advised, I purchased the coin not the slab (but in this instance the slab is a great bonus no doubt). I have been drawn to beautifully toned coins and this one is no exception as you can see in the pictures. I would like to thank the wonderfully helpful and kind CoinTalk members who went out of their way to take time and provide me with really great information and direction (you know who you are). Ultimately I am thankful to every contributor to this great site, it is a superb base of wisdom and is invaluable to collectors of any and all levels.

-WeirdFishes

P.S.: I always try to take the best quality pictures possible but as I am sure many of you know, proof coins are especially difficult to photograph as was the case for me with this beauty. I did the best I could and I hope all of you like them.
