If the rest of your collection equals that coin, I think you will do just fine as a collector.

Nice start! Keep doing what you're doing. Be patient. Good luck...Mike

Wow! Beautiful indeed, and congratulations on acquiring such a lovely piece. You seem to have the patience and wherewithal that many here lack......that being doing your research before pulling the trigger on a particular coin or series. One word of advice, if I may.....lose the 16x loupe. You don't need anything near that power to peruse coins. 4-7x works just fine and you ain't detecting all kinds of weird stuff.

Great post and great pictures, showing off the colors and the "pop" the coin has. Welcome aboard.

walkers have always been one of my favs. I have quite a few ms63-64 and my one proof is a '41 pf66 but no CAC. nice srart. now go for the '17 with mintmarks on both sides.

WOW!! Absolutely beautiful coin...what a way to start a collection. I agree with the Ken about the loupe. I use a 7X and 10X, mostly the 7 though. Anything stronger and you're seeing things you don't need to. Any coin will look bad if you magnify it enough.
