My first S mint error 1980 s $1 clipped planchet!!!

    Howdy all just wanted to share my new error coin. 1980 S Susan B. Antony dollar clipped planchet. Nothin super nice but it is my first S mint error. Have a look!! 20190309_172423.jpg 20190309_171011.jpg so what cha think?

    Nice SBA clip. I noticed a vertical line on the reverse side (the side with eagle), starting from "STATES" via the eagle all the way down. Wonder if it is an error on coin, or just on holder. If on coin, wonder how could that happen.

    On the coin. Likely damage but, 20190309_171424.jpg not noted on slab. I opened the bid $9.99 and some how i won:cigar:

    Thanks but i have several clips and other errors jus this is the fist S mint error so far. I think im going for a date set of clipped Susan B's. A good start with this coin and a 79 p. Now the 1999 might be a bit tougher. Idk we shall see.

    You may also consider a "no date" coin in your future date set. Just like mine below. Also an S mint, but one of the triple clips cuts into the year. :jawdrop:
