A small chip is missing. I estimate the chip would weigh 7 grams.</p><p>Obverse – 4 dots; Гo the rest of the surface is hard to see. If the scale weight is 4 uncia it would have Гo Δ.</p><p>Reverse – Cross. It looks like more marks were on the weight.</p><p>40 mm X 9 mm</p><p><br /></p><p>I include weights from the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire in my collection. Dates for the weights is an educated guess at best. Symbols on the weights indicate weight standard and are related age and location. Most are bronze.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Pondera has 67 four ounce weights. This includes 37 bronze, 22 lead and 10 stone weights. The shapes include 22 barrel, 8 round and 28 square.
