My first Punic coin

    Its always interesting to consider how differently history could have turned out had a few military struggles gone the other way… Gaul and Carthage to name a couple.

    Some great coins posted in this thread… a couple of them have been on my want list for some time - with a Siculo-Punic Tet and the Av/Electrum stater being right up there :)

    VGO.DVCKS, Thank you & Alegandron for the kind words :happy:. I won the coin at a Heritage auction 7 years ago & paid a hefty price for the coin, $1,762.50, including the buyers premium. It is one of the few classical Greek coins I kept in my collection. Better examples are fetching shocking prices today. The coin pictured below, CNG 118, lot 50, recently sold for $12,000.00 :jawdrop:!
