My first Paper Purchases

Thought you might enjoy this true story. My friend Ray bought several old books at a flea market about 3 years ago. In
one book he found several fractional notes. He didn't say if they were all the first issues but he gave me a 5 cent FR#1230 and a 10 cent FR#1242. He did say that he gave his grand children the more valuable ones.
My FR#1230 graded at 61PPQ. The FR#1242 graded at 58PPQ. Am I lucky or what having him as a friend?
That's what got me jumped started into fractional currency.
