    Thank you! The paper is actually in English, but the journal is German. It is edited by Prof. Achim Lichtenberger, one of the most prominent specialists in archaeology and numismatics of Decapolis and Meddle East in general.

    Great article and very informative.
    Is Gerasa also where the first Jewish revolt against the Romans occurred?

    Actually no. The city mentioned by Josephus Flavius was purely Jewish and was likely located in Judaea. It was completely destroyed by Romans and its location is still debated. It is commonly accepted that Gerasa in Decapolis was a different city, it was mostly Greek, supported Romans during Jewish War and archaeologists don't find any signs of destruction dating to that period.
