My FIRST gutter fold error - on a check

    Well, in my 30+ years of collecting checks this is my FIRST with a genuine gutter fold error. Apologies for starting a new thread for such a narrowly focused subject but I wanted to my my :) with everyone.

    Nice but are you sure the fold occurred in 1873? :) Just messing with ya. I wish someone would write me a $15,000.00 check. That's a boat load of money in that year.

    Found this on the net:
    If you want to compare the value of a $15,000.00 Income or Wealth , in 1873 there are four choices. In 2015 the relative:
    historic standard of living value of that income or wealth is $306,000.00
    labor earnings of that commodity is $2,050,000.00 (using the unskilled wage) or $3,820,000.00 (using production worker compensation)
    economic status value of that income or wealth is $4,090,000.00
    economic power value of that income or wealth is $30,500,000.00
