My First Domitian

    Thanks to all of you. Indeed I had my lesson from this thread. My entire collection is just the first mile out of the 22-mile trip. I can't be more modest than this. Hope I can run the second mile in the next few years. Cheers..

    RIC II records 855 separate catalogue entries for Domitian. With variants, oddballs, and surprises the number for imperials could be rounded up to 1000. I would guess (haven't counted all of them) that it would be roughly the same number for provincials. So, 2000 all told for Domitian is not out of the question!

    This is my most enigmatic Domitian which is in none of the reference books. It was struck in Alexandria and has texts for Domitian in the obverse and for Domitia in the reverse who is posing as Dikaiosyne.
    Any light on this matter is very welcome!
