Looks like more cracks on the obverse.

that crack just keeps on trailing around the top of UNITED STATES. thats really cool!! even if the coin is considered low in value you should send it to get graded and confirmed. if you haven't researched the cost that the grading companies charge, you should. I did a couple of google searches for PCGS & NGC grading fees and saw the results below so i thought I would share if you haven't already done so. good luck, great looking coin grading fees PCGS.JPG ngc grading fees.JPG

They don't add value, but it's not bad. Scratches on the coin would be bad. The only ones that add value are really strong ones that indicate the die is at the end of its life, and in many cases, the value added isn't a lot.

For an example, look at 1921-D VAMs 1H1, 1H2, 1H3, and 1H4. I would pay a lot for a VAM 1H4, a slight premium for 1H3, and no premium for 1H1 and 1H2. They are all the same die at different stages of deterioration.

Oh yeah I knew it wouldn’t add value I just meant it’s good that it’s a crack and not a scratch or damage.

Then again PCGS graded this coin MS 63 which probably wouldn’t have happened if all those cracks were scratches.
