Yeah, I do see what you are talking about. I'm used to seeing much worse in problem free slabs. I understand why he wanted it sent in because it probably would have made it several years ago.

I think the market changed somewhat when NGC and PCGS started slabbing problem coins....I think they tightened up the screws a LOT both with the grade and problem designation....which in reality is a really good thing.

I'm tempted to crack it out and put it in my no motto gold type page.....we'll see.

I'm sorry he took a loss on it(well, kinda..lol)...it probably would have sold for more raw.

Nice buy. I actually made the effort to collect all the mints and the Dahlonega was the only one I failed to collect. I never saw one under $1000.
