You don't worry about earthquakes? Im in L.A. so I know them too well.

 

My early days were in Riverside, so I remember earthquakes well. Also, 'duck and cover' drills for nuclear war and even 'smog alerts' where we couldnt go outside for recess at school due to the pollution. But here in the north state earthquakes are small and infrequent. Besides, my bookshelves are screwed to the wall (not that this would help if there were a big quake).

 

Well, I am back from a short hiatus. Figured I should help some of the younglings at Numista and hence spent some time there. Good to be back . One of my recent antiques that I purchased is the following cuneiform head. I haven't had the time to send this to CDLI for deciphering:

Thanks guys! I really, really wanted several of the ones that were sold on CNG recently, but it went for a ridiculously astronomical price. Glad it is more popular now. This will hopefully prevent idiots like ISIS from smashing them
