I recently purchased this coin from a well respected CT member. I finally acquired a nice coin, and helped out a member of our forum in the process. Knowing that the seller was a reputable person, was a big factor for me! I felt like a little kid on x-mass morning, when I opened it up for the first time. It is a nice coin.My pictures are not the best, but they will do! Check it out! All comments are welcome. 1909vdb.jpg 1909vdbbig.jpg
I paid a fair price for it..I checked the prices on ebay and I don't think I did that bad. I saw people paying alot more than I did. Then again some of the prices were out of control(almost double what I paid)
Whatever price you paid for it all that matters is that you like it in long run......wtg great coin jim
Looks like a really nice example for a 65RB... from what I can see on the obverse, that coin wouldn't look out of place in a 66RD holder based on many of the coins I have seen and owned. Well done!!!!!!
Thanks guys.It was on my wish list for many years. I suffered a little bit this week, scrounging for money!!I even cashed in some of the lower quality state quarters I was hoarding, just to get by.I was going to sell off some of my other mint year sets, but my wife told me that they meant to much to me and I should not sell them.(she's a keeper!!) It was worth every penny and I love it.I would do it all over again if I had to! Now I'm looking for the big boy! 1909 S VDB...Thats gonna be a challenge for sure.
I agree with that. From the pictures it looks pretty darn red to me. Post a pic of the reverse for us.
That is an absolutely beautiful piece of copper! You and whoever you bought it from have very good taste. You can be very proud to own this piece.
ok here it is.I had to put it at a slight angle because of a glare on the case. The white dots are on the plastic case, and the dark ring on the top left is just a shadow.
I understand the glare problem on slabs...they are tough to photo! That's a really nice looking reverse too!
the first thing I did after I opened it was turn it back and forth to see if it did cartwheels. She passed with flying colors!
BadThad, I just checked your public profile and I was shocked to find out you created verdi gone. I remember reading the long thread about desertgems' test on this product. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you for the compliment. That is what makes collecting all worth it!! I would also want to thank the others for their input as well! I purchased this coin from CT member"coinman0456"..He has offered this exceptional coin to me at a great price. He also has more coins for sale in the open forum. I would highly recommend this seller to anyone. He is very courteous, and knowledgeable .
Hi Pete, Thank you for the vote of confidence. I'm pleased this coin found an owner who appreciates my efforts to promote the hobby with affordable offerings. Still wish I were in Florida today! LOL Also, anyone who submits the second and third place high offer's on the Jefferson's will receive a nice consolation prize. So, take a chance. Have a great weekend all!
