Beyond the fact that this is written on the flip, the coin is clearly a Ty I and could only be a 13.

You have to give anything posted by xGAJx a lot of weight.
    He's a coin dealer.
He says so in his profile.
That's why he'll tell you how much a dealer would pay for any coin posted, even if you haven't asked that question.

All of the images, including the first set, look to be clear 1913 dates.

I re-read your original question and perhaps I can answer again, more clearly.
So, What's the Value & Should it be graded by a third party company?
As noted, a raw example like yours would fetch around $35-40 on eBay. Getting it graded costs $25 (+or-) so as it sits the answer would be no, but if someone else here might gauge the grade at Ms-64 or better the answer would be yes. I personally don't see it being quite that high though. Hope that helps :)

I'd give it a 4 from the first set of pics it looked like a possible 5 or 6, but the last set shows that there isn't enough lustre .IMO

It's clearly a 1913 Type I Buffalo that looks like it sits in the AU/MS realm. It is not worth sending in for certification as you would pay about as much to get it into a holder as the coin is worth.
