Some nice coins in this thread! Wish I had more, but here is my only Julia Domna, minted in Laodicea, with peacock at the feet of Juno on the reverse.
Here is another Julia Domna I picked up recently. Lydia, Magnesia ad Sipylum, Julia Domna AD 193-217. 22 mm. 5.6 gm. Obv: IOYLIA CEBACTH, draped bust right Rev: MAGNHTWN CIPYLO, humped bull standing left. SNG Munich 275 What I find interesting is the reverse. I haven't seen this type before, and the condition was pretty nice. I had to look up to see where Lydia, Magnesia ad Sipylum was. For those that don't know, it is present day Manisa, Turkey. The land was restored by Tiberius after been wrecked by an earthquake.
I only have two for Julia Domna. The quadriga of lions and this one, that hasn't had an outing for a while... Julia Domna Coin: Bronze AE3 IOVLIA DOMNA CE - Draped bust right NIKOPOLITWN PROC ICTR - Bull standing right Mint: Nikopolis ad Istrum (193-217 AD) Wt./Size/Axis: 2.12g / 16mm / - References: Varbanov 2860 Moushmov 1032 AMNG 1479
Well my older Julia Domna coin was feeling lonely and left out so she asked me if she can join her sister. Really she did lol. And no I'm not going crazy... I think.
ZOMBIE Domna: RI Julia Domna 194-217 Fouree AR Plated Den Isis Horus (Cool that she matches my Felicitas Isis Horus Domna...)
