Was just at my corner store to get my lottery tickets, and saw a quarter in their change holder with a bunch of. Pennies. I could see it was a SRB quarter, but couldn’t make out the mm. Asked him to look at it and it was a D. Told him if it was a W it’d be worth something. So he looked in his till and said he found a W! He said you want it? I told him to hang onto it. He said no, you take it. Will do something nice for him soon!
Actually he had mentioned he was hungry......so I just took him a big ol' hunk of our leftover lasagne! He was grateful!
I still don't get why WP was minting quarters. I think someone explained it to me here and then I promptly forgot it. Are they worth hunting for in my change jars? I'd sort of prefer the lasagna
Yes only 2 million for each design 2019-2020,10 total.Worth around $10 and up average much more than 0.25 fv.They did this as a program for the hobby and a way to get more collectors in especially the youngsters(great American coin hunt).
They Minted them in 2019 and 2020. ( 2 million of each design made for each year) I think it was an effort to get people to get into coin collecting. They were not sold, and were only put into circulation as part of the Great American Coin Hunt Promo. Getting harder and harder to find as time goes on. Even harder to find in good condition.
Thanks to both of you. I learn something new every day! Since my change jars predate those mintages I'll save that task for another time.
