Beautiful site - I just got mine up - www.rodinsquarters.com and my real trouble was the photo. No matter what resolution I set the scanner or how I held the camera, it never looked as good as the professionals. Your pics are beautiful and love the text - great job

Thanks much! Your site looks really nice as well. As for the scans, I am not sure what I did that was unique. ...just laid them down on the scanner and it did all of the work! =]

That is great. I do 98 percent of my work in Linux/Mozilla. The only reason I ever boot into Windoze is for my ProCoin database. Let us know if/when you are going to release a version of your program. I'd love to be able to trash my Windoze OS entirely, the only thing holding me back is that one application.

BTW your program looks much nicer than my ProCoin database.

Wow. Well I have to say, that's by far the best (most inspirational) reason I have received towards finishing the release. If my coin DB can help just ONE person to dump windows entirely, I'd consider my software package a success.

Ahh yes I certainly did. And thanks for providing some. :)

I would like any other suggestions that anyone could provide. No reason it can't just be a database containing information useful to each and every person.

That is a really neat database. I've been looking for some freeware (I'm as tight as they come) or even some cheap shareware for my coin collection, but I havn't found anything that I've liked. That would be very generous of you to make this available to others - even at a nominal price.

A few things that I have been looking for (in addition to the fields you already have) would be a text field to type in a description of the variety of a coin - such as a canadian 1947, 47 dot, and 47 maple leaf. They are all the same KM#, but different varieties.

Another thing I would like to have in a database would be to have a field that I could indicate if I had the coin or not. There are three types of coins in my collection: those that are in my collection (in my albums), those that are available for trade (I have extras), and those that I don't have yet (my want list). It would be cool to be able to have a want list and easily be able to move a coin from a want list to my collection.

It would also be cool to have a few extra fields that you could use however you want - like to put comments in about where you got it, or catagorize them by diameter, or by weight, or just anything you wanted.

Anyway - thats a pretty neat set up you have there!!!

Thanks much for the words! I'd also like to note that the fields you are requesting will be added into the software.

The project has taken me longer than expected, but I think with the amount of feedback I have been getting from the coin community, you'll be pleasantly surprised - or so I hope! :)

I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.
