    And all it took was one quick look at this coin and I said those famous words that I’ve uttered way too much in my coin collecting, “I’ll take it”.

    Ben Franklin died in 1790, so I doubt he spent that 1799 dollar unless there was an unpublished zombie apocalypse around the end of the 18th century.

    Then again, I ran into him at the 2023 FUN show in Orlando, so maybe…

    George Washington died in December 1799, so there’s a remote chance of that, anyway.

    I have seen Ben Franklin from time to time. It’s nice to think of who may have handled coins from the birthing our country. :)
