    1898 chia dollar.jpg i bought this dollar 7 mace and 2 candareens i thought i have some value but i been reading about a too man fakes ben made of that coins can any one help this first grader if i got a fake or no since you guys seen a thing or two

    Really looks cast to me, but let's see what others say.

    thanks i forgot to mention it does not stick to magnet i use a strong magnet from a hard drive

    Definitely cast. This cannot be genuine.

    Just because it is not magnetic does not mean that it is genuine.

    What does it weigh and what is its diameter?

    i under stand non magnetic it means not silver plated its weight 27.2 gr,diameter 39.49mm thickness 2.75 mm i only paid 4.00 dollars fort it

    At that price, I would have my doubts. Is that a picture or a scan?

    If genuine, it's easily a 3 figure coin. 4 dollars is still too much for a replica.

    The reason I asked is that scans can be very accurate but do not really show how a coin looks. This coin has a very granular appearance, and that plus the price you paid for a very pricy coin would lead us to believe that it is a fake. Sorry, take it to a shop and see what they offer you for it.
