I missed the ID quiz today, but I had another grab of my own. Not my coin, of course, but I got a call today from a consignor – an older guy who prefers communication by phone and mail, rather than email. He proceeds to describe to me some weird coin with 25 roubles on the obverse and Arabic on the reverse. About 30 seconds of google-fu and I figure out its one of these: 25 Roubles of the Khorezm Soviet People's Republic. All by voice alone! http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=141057 (placed in ancient section because it was initially assumed to be an ancient/medieval coin, due to its crudeness) You never know what you'll turn up!
Very scarce coin. I own a couple like it, just to show what happened later to my precious Sogdian cities.
