Well I was lucky cause where I lived at there were a lot of old places around to go detecting and find stuff my grandfathers farm being the best place to find stuff and I could go on for days on all the stuff he and I found but I won't and I will simply tell yall the oldest coin he found was an 1795 half cent through sheer luck.

Still have the half cent, @Zako? Do you have a photo of it? I know that @Lord Marcovan keeps all his coin finds and many/most of non-coin finds.

Garnet-seems more compatible with size of band

Good hunting! I personally like the garnet best, but then I am wearing a big Mozambique ruby on my finger now...

Most of what you found is highly reactive stuff that is easy pickins for a detector. Quarters, the half and silver indicate that the area has not been searched before.
It is gratifying to come up with significant finds. Especially a lot at once.
I think the Peridot looks best. Lots of brilliance.

    Great deal on the Franklin.
I detected for a long time and found all kinds of things. Gold, silver, a watch. Brass knucks.
But I have done far better at yard sales!
You can find silver halves and 40% for less than melt. Silver and gold jewelry and coins. Darn near anything.
I dont have the time or mobility for detecting anymore, but can still hit the yard sales

Most of those old coppers really suffer when exposed to the soil for so long, but still! A 1795 half cent!
    Too cool.
