Picked this up at my LCS for 75 cents today. They are normally very stingy and I was pretty shocked to see this in the world coin bin. I know it is holed but still, worth more than 75 cents melt. I also picked up a 1953 Columbia 20 Centavos which is about 87 cents melt. All the rest of the stuff I bought wasn't as fun.

Usually theirs is pretty sparse. The only silver they have ever had are the 1950-53 Mexico 25 centavos. Mostly it is full of proof crap from the Carribean countries or Isreal.
This LCS has a pretty large online coin/bullion selling presence. They have pretty high premiums on everything they sell. Unfortunately they are the only one in the local radius for me to go to. :(

Over $6.00 in silver alone. I would say that's a good deal.

Someone screwed up on that one. Makes you wonder how that happens. They have to know it's silver.

I think without the hole it is a $10 coin. But it is still attractive.

You guys are forgetting about the hole. There's about 10 cents of silver missing for the hole. :D

Great pickup. Maybe the dealer thought it was a 1933 Chilean Peso which was copper nickel.

I love junk bins, even though my LCS never has silver in them, there is still often some really fun stuff in there. There's a lot of German Empire stuff usually, and last time I found an 1888-G 5 pfennig mintage 853k. Same bin same day I found a 1925 Cameroon franc in what seemed to be VF. Both 20 cents. Both carry a slight premium.
