You will always be the boss, James. You've done a ton of awesome work in 2019. I hope you have the most awesome 2020 anybody could ever have, ever. You deserve it! Erin
It is nice to hear from you awesome Erin (just affectionately joshing you ) - and I hope you have an awesome 2020 too!
With the assistance of one of my grandsons I have finalized the ten web pages that I will retain - now consisting of just Roman Imperial coins and Chancery cursive (Italic) calligraphy - which can be accessed at https://jp29.org/index.htm online until February 2020. CT members are welcome to use text and images as they wish - just give me credit if you do - “courtesy of James Pickering” will do just fine.
@jamesicus, you are really an inspiration. Please watch out for a thread I will be posting on the evolution of London mint coinage. I am fortunate to be one of the new custodian of some of your coins and am keen on continuing your good work. The London mint is truly fascinating. I wonder if there would have ever been a mint there if Carausius didn't set one up to begin with.
Not sure I will be your age someday @jamesicus (I have already spent a large part of my capital), but if it were to happen, I would love to have even a tenth of your wisdom and bravery I wish you a merry Xmas and a most happy new year Q
I will indeed watch out for that thread - it is nice to know my (ex) coins are in good hands. That is a good question about the role played by Carausius and whether he was the one that originally set it up - I do not know the answer. I hope you pursue this @Caesar_Augustus.
You will make it Q - I wish I was as wise as you think I am (and half as brave). And from me to you: I wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy, and healthy, New Year.
