I really think a lot of the objection to the current one dollar coin has been that people don't want the weight of 4 one dollar coins in their pocket in regular change. </p><p>$5 - coin copper like the one cent of old - larger than the new $1 but still smaller than the current quarter piece, half and half “interrupted edge,” (where the edge alternates segments of reeding as proposed for the half-dime in the linked article) [and as an aside, the return of Lady Liberty to the coin.]</p><p>The $20 and $100 made of coin silver.
