Since it all boils down to the cost, your '66 would have to grade MS69, MS68CAM or MS65UCAM to make it worthwhile to submit for grading. It's a stretch any which way you look at it. Chris
Well it's your choice obviously. Not sure which membership information for PCGS or NGC you're looking at but the cheapest membership at PCGS is the Silver level, at $49 per year; and NGC's Associate level membership is $39 per year. PCGS's fees vary depending on the turn around time you want, but they start at $14 with a 20-30 day turnaround, to as much as $100 for a 2 day turnaround. NGC's fees are based on value of the coin(s) submitted, and start at $14 for 12 day turnaround, to as high as $600 for unlimited value walk through, 24 hours turnaround. Either way you look at it, you're going to pay for the membership, submission, and designations and attributions. The $250 fee is for secure plus at PCGS and NGC charges $250 for high value walk through with a 24 hour turnaround.
silly me Yup yup you 100% correct on that (went to both pcgs and ngc as well) after looking at the full fee schedules I was very much in the wrong so may end up doing pcgs after all. Oh for the love of coins lol
