Bought this beauty from my dealer a few weeks ago, he bought it raw and submitted it to PCGS. Guess the grade and then I'll tell you what I'm considering doing.

What's the white mark on the "E" in cent? Is that on the plastic or the coin?

Dang, I was hoping to resubmit for 63, but after so many people thought it was only au, maybe I'll just hold onto it. I love the coin regardless, I just hate the "in-between" grade of 62.

In today's world, 62 is what the 55/58 coins get graded.

as long as it gets 62 money, I wouldn't care in the least

I think it could be a MS62. I don't really see anything that looks like wear.

Very nice! There's something about a brown high-grade early Lincoln that is just so genuine and appealing. Enjoy it as it is. It's lovely!

If you are really interested in a professional opinion about its grade and likelihood of being undergraded, arrange to have CAC look it over. If it comes back with a gold sticker you'll know it is at least a grade too low. Green? Nice and solid for the grade. No sticker? Well...no charge!

Based on what I see in the photos, I'm really surprised that it got an MS grade. I see a clear color change on the cheek bone and jaw that look like luster breaks to me. It it was a strike issue, the color change wouldn't be present. Maybe its an artifact from the photo however...the only way to truly judge a coin is in hand.

Where are the series# and coin# on the PCGS label. Is this an older PCGS slab?
