Multiple Mint marks??

    But do you see why I would think that, being a greenhorn to this? This marks are shaped very much like Ds.

    "shaped very much like D" ... that is what you want to believe they are shaped like. Don't correlate what could be damage to a letter you may beleive it could be. Could be like an S too, or maybe the top part of a P.
