I would agree, but I had meant euro coins with two 50 cent sides, for example, or 2 twenty cent sides.

I assume these were struck intentionally, probably ommitting the national side to hide the culprit.

So they are double reverse coins? That would be an interesting lot of coins to get.
I would agree with them being struck intentionally, as would 99% of all legitimate double sided coins have been.
What goes on behind the doors of a mint makes us variety and error collectors smile, if any get out that is. The people doing this don't smile for long if they get caught though and have heard a few good stories about people getting busted in both Australia and the US.
A double sided coin i do class as a mule :)

The thread on occupation coins reminded me that in 1950 there was a Germna mule 50 pfennig, A 1949 reverse (text referring to German bank, not republic) was paired with a 1950 obverse (first German Republic issues).

Hello I'm from India and there are two mule coins from the Republic India. 50 Paise featuring Indira Gandhi and 50 Paise commemorating 'fisheries' issued in 1985. In these case, both the obverses are interchanged. The Indira Gandhi mule coin is now valued at around $25 and the rarer Fisheries mule coin is valued at $60.
