But even that leaves some mystery to it, since most of these coins, --my original specimen especially-- exhibit full details and otherwise look fully struck-up.</p><p><br /></p><p>Also, one correction to an earlier post-- It wasn't the second 0 punched over a 9. It was the 9 punched over an 8. Pretty screaming obvious in my opinion, but perhaps NGC was so distracted by the marks on the reverse that the date was ignored in spite of being indicated on the submission sheet as an overdate.
