I believe that particular coin is a fingerprint, but some I have seen turn out to be an effect from the coins surface being pressed against the canvas bag for a period of time. An &quot;element&quot; or mineral/chemical is imprinted onto the surface of the dollar. Because of the bag marks on this coin, I feel that is unlikely.
