Congratulation on your accomplishments V. Kurt. I guess I misunderstood your statement "I submitted the best P and best D I had left after giving some out around Rosemont in tips." It sounded to me that you were giving kennedy's around restaurants as tips. If you were giving them away to coin club members, than I could see your reasoning.

It WAS in restaurants and hotels and cabs. Regular tip, plus a 2014 Kennedy in a flip with a promotional message for the Saturday free admission in the other pocket.

IMO there is only one way to do a Rosemont show - sans automobile. Too much $ flushed down the parking hole otherwise.

Are you having a coin show in Rosemont ? Is that in Pennsylvania ?

No, near O'Hare airport near Chicago. Another one coming next August. I flew into Midway and took the CTA Orange and Blue "L" trains to Rosemont. Then I took Amtrak home. I am a 5-year stroke survivor and long drives are out of the question for me. Lancaster, PA is the 20th busiest Amtrak station in the nation, and Chicago is in the top 3 annually.

Yep, I think if someone laid down a raw flawless looking coin and a slabbed MS70 for the same price, you would take the slab without question.

    It depends, really it does.
    Are they BOTH visually flawless?
Is the raw one with the OGP?

Here's my answer - if I think the raw one is nicer than the PR70 slab, I'm taking the raw one. And there's not even a moment's hesitation if the raw one is in perfect condition OGP. Why? Because one of the LAST considerations for me is what I can sell it for. That's for my heirs to figure out. Heck, man, I even occasionally buy empty OGP I think I might be able to "reunite" with the proper coin. I have a decent-sized carton of temporarily orphaned OGP.

On the other hand, if I can see a difference and the slabbed one is visually nicer, now I'm leaning toward the slab. I'm not in this to flip squat. I've never done a flip job in my life! And if the raw one is just in capsule, or worse yet in a 2x2 (yuck!), I take the slab, 'cuz I'll have the raw one slabbed anyway.

Also, the TPG matters. In my present state of mind, if it's PCGS :vomit: (Ptoo! Ptoo!) I lean raw. If it's NGC, now we increase the conundrum.
