Any opinions on the grade of this Matte Proof Lincoln? I just received it today. It is sitting in a brand new PCGS holder.

    I am stuck between 64 and 65 so I will say 64+.

Well, no one has agreed with PCGS on this one including myself so thanks for the sanity check. I also see Larry has posted his MPL and I have a feeling we might be in the same boat. Soooooo, I think I got an exceptional good deal on this since I paid straight PCGS retail on this coin. If any one has any insight on how this coin got in this holder, please lest me know. The coin is beautiful in hand.

I've owned a couple of 65BN's that weren't nearly as nice as your 63BN. I would seriously think about sending it in as either a re-grade or under the Reconsideration service level.

Unless there is a problem with the coin that the photo isn't showing, I think this coin is 65BN all day.

Yeah, thanks Rob, I will re-submit at some time, right now I am just thrilled to get such a nice MPL for 63 money. I think my motivation for the Crack out may be so I can get a picture of this baby outside the plastic. :)

You have little to lose with the crackout. There is no way in god's green Earth this will downgrade. In fact I see an upgrade in its future. Phil will make this coin sparkle.

That's a very nice Lincoln and I also think it will upgrade.

Unless the pictures are hiding something, 63 seems low for that.

Agree looks like a solid 64 I wouldnt have been. Surprised with a 65 only thing I saw was a little spot on the reverse almost like a water spot. Was a very borderline call for me between bn and rb. I'd try for an upgrade
