I do not see anything which I would be overtly worried about.

Yeah it's only about 300 coins with a full retail value of $3000

Again, it's such a small amount I see no reason to worry unless you walked around with them under your arm. These will easily fit behind your seat with a jacket draped over them.

    Have a nice trip.

DEFINITELY NOT in a moving van. Two things tend to disappear in a moving van--liquor and money, and coins are money. I would take my collection with me in the car, in a very ordinary brown box marked "BEDDING," and have the actual collection securely packed against humidity. DO not allow them to be seen as what they are, or you may well get robbed. Add a rider on your insurance policy for transportation of precious metals (they are available just for the trip). Otherwise, one is taking a chance, and with the nature of my collection, and overall amount, I would not take a chance.

Yeah they are not on the truck. The truck left last night without them. I'm leaving with the coins in the car tomorrow morning. I gotta clean the apartment today before I leave.

Thanks. It's already been a mess so far. Late movers, movers missed stuff, they packed my Asthma medicine, and it turned out to be double the price estimate

Always get the price confirmed in writing.

I live in a non carry state. The general rule when traveling interstate by car is to keep the unloaded weapon in plain view, but out of reach (ie the back seat). If it's not in plain sight you could be arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. If you are ever pulled over by LEO ,the first thing you do is tell them about the weapon.
