Yeah that stupid 1795 dollar listing is about the most insane listing on eBay for coins. I feel like he just pulls prices out of thin air and changes them once a month using some random number generator. But hey, it probably brings him clicks if nothing else.

Every time I am looking for a book I use Bookfinder.com. Some of the prices asked are ridiculous, even worse than this. I have seen common books which normally go for less than $10 which are offered for hundreds of dollars. It is not at all uncommon. I suspect that people there just use some algorithm to generate prices and don't even look at the reasonableness. This may be a similar situation.
