Simplistically, yes. Realistically, no, and here's why. You have preconditioned responses unfairly, because cost, for one example, is not equal between all services. Thus, you could ask the following question . . . "All other factors being equal, is lowest cost most important?" Similarly, knowing that all services do not grade coins to exactly the same standard, you could ask the the following 2 questions, "All other factors being equal, is most conservative grading most important?", and "All other factors being equal, is least conservative grading most important?" The list could go on . . . Thus, by limiting the responses to considering only one element of the TPGs value proposition, you have skewed the results of your inquiry. To me, if I had to pick one factor that should be equal among all TPG's it obviously would be the grading standard . . . a lofty goal, as grading is subjective. Aside from that and Customer Service, all other factors are numerically quantifiable, and easiest to hold constant with one's competitors. I don't entirely disagree with you . . . just the way you posited your argument. Personally, I think the TPG's need to work a deal with one of the big 3 shippers . . . UPS / FEDEX / USPS just like eBay has done to reign in shipping cost, improve security of shipment and expedite delivery. There's probably a worthwhile chunk of business there to leverage in pursuit of a special account. Were I an executive at the TPGs, I'd be looking into ways to simplify building the cost of shipment into the cost of the product.
