My favorite will probably always be the Meiji (and one year Taisho) Japanese Dragon Yens. I can gaze at these for many moments.
Yes very subjective indeed. Now it's about the Art without any value involved. That can cover a wide spectrum. Its not like asking whats your favorite color, where you usually get one answer. For me it helps if both sides are appealing.
Impossible to pick just one but I've always been partial to these two. Of course, I may answer that completely different tomorrow. Portugal 1910 Escudo Iceland 1930 10 Kronur
I could be having a senior moment, but I seem to recall a thread just like this within the last year or so. I'll look for it.
I like to see the engraving skills of the coins from the Franklin Mint. Yes a similar thread was a couple months ago, but for those who missed it first time around, maybe they get to participate this time
Here's the thread I was thinking of: Best Designs for Modern Coins? Not quite the same thing. Carry on.
I fall in love on a daily basis...and CT is not helping my addiction The last coin I HAD to order after seeing it here was this guy... In a bidding frenzy, I ended up with two of them This is a better picture of the obverse
I'm too subjective to have a single answer for this, but I do like oversized coppers. The Meiji 2 Sen (Japan) has to be pretty high on my list.
