Well, there goes down the value of all the current Morgans of those dates on the market! I wonder how many other tens of thousands of Morgans are still held in bank vaults waiting to be released....
Interesting to see this: Our only disappointment was the relatively small number of attractively toned coins. There are probably less than 100 examples with rainbow toning. I would have thought that 50 years of sitting in cloth bags would have produced a much different result in that regard. I've always been hesitant to collect Morgans for that very reason. Everybody seems to love them though.
If you like the coins, collect them. Don't worry about a hoard materializing. They are fewer and far between. But yeah, if you pay a huge premium for a particular coin, you run a risk akin to the 1903-O's in the 1960's.
