Easy $2k. That 93 -cc is nice probably close to $500 there. The 95-o is up there too another nice semi key date easy $300. 92-cc a couple hundred bucks. All 3 look like super original gray circulated coins. A really nice look
Any reputable coin dealer will help "teach" you. Mine is indispensable! Definitely don't clean them or take them out. This is how I got started over a year ago with my late father-in-laws collection. Do your research, ask questions here, and if you absolutely need to sell (try to keep it in family and pass on knowledge first), find a good dealer who will not rush you. We got $2000 for her when she needed it and didn't have to sell the lot. Best wishes!
She didn't say WHEN her father was told they were worth about face value. Up until 1968 or so you could still get them for face value over the counter at the bank. I have a coin book from 1965 where under Morgan dollars it lists a few dates as having a premium value, but recommends just spending the rest of them. In 1964 when they cut off redeeming silver certificates for silver dollars and the GSA advised that the 3 million or so CC dollars in their hands had numismatic value over the face value, they mentioned that they were worth 3 or 4 dollars apiece.
This is the sort of find that makes coin collecting so fun. There are certainly some better dates in that book. Looks like your father had a good eye for nice coins. I am excited for you and your mother. You certainly have a first class collection of Morgans there. Thanks dad!
