Morgan Fake

    Looks legit to me. Then I'd have to ask why someone would bother falsifying a coin that is one of over 44,000,000 minted, and one of the less popular dates in the series to boot? Would it be worth the time and trouble?

    They redid the dies in 1921, the hair is one of the places it is most evident. She's cleaned, but she looks real.

    That must be it...I was going through about 300 silver dollars and not many of them were 1921's so I guess when I saw the one and forgot that they redid the dies...that hair is sharp....real sharp

    here's my 1921 morgan.. taken off of a cell-phone camera. sorry about quality. :D She's got really sharp hair too. Below that is my gorgeous XF 1899-O. The picture really doesn't do it justice. Compare the hair sharpness. Both of these coins were certified real at a show. The '21's dies were sharp.

    Didn't they redo the dies for Morgan Dollars 3 times??
    I seem to remember that but can't remember what years they totaly redid them....
