On a scale of 1-10 how well do you like Morgan dollars? Please elaborate and have fun with this thread. Sent from my A463BG using Tapatalk
I'd say 9... a great coin for beginners and pros alike, usually not expensive but still old and fascinating, many are available in BU with rainbow toning or PL/DMPL surfaces and of course every single one is a VAM @Cascade will probably rate them 11, don't be surprised
I'll stay within the given scale and say 10. They're attractive, big, silver, approachable, challenging, and interesting.
About a 5. I could take em or leave em. A REALLY nice one is a sight to behold but for the most part they are just common "stuff".
@Cascade said: "11?... You're a few zeros lite!" In some countries...Vietnam for example, I heard that the more zero's behind the number, the worse it is. Examples: GI#1, zero, zero, zero. Cascade & Morgan's #11, zero, zero, zero.
Untoned Morgan Dollars: 5 Rainbow Toned Morgan Dollars: 10 As a toning enthusiast, rainbow toned Morgans really are the pinnacle of toned coins. The untoned Morgans are like widgets, just too common and plain.
