Ive looked at it closely and cant really make out any of the scratches that are common for cleaning coins with brillo or other rough materials, although these photographs have brought out additional details that I didnt see with the naked eye that appear to be some tiny surface scratches. I think it must have been chemically cleaned if it was cleaned, maybe just with soap. The coin is quite beautifully toned, so my guess is that it was cleaned along time ago. I realize that beauty and value is in the eye of the individual collector, and so I expect to find a potentially broad range of prices. The Cert # on this coin is 2542587-003. NOTE: There were scratches on the case that showed up and appear to be on the coin. These are not scratches on the coin. Notice the scratches that cross over "E" in "E Pluribus Unim" , and the scratches that run along the back of her hair and beneath the neck. These white scratches are not scratches on the face of the coin. The scratches are only visible on the pictures of the front and not the back. i shot them at different angles and lighting.
