93-o is just as rare as the S (same number produced) but it doesn't get the attention the S does for some reason
I’m from Louisiana so that’s why made that statement lol. I would think the O was rare. I have my friend’s coins I posted and 1 is a 1900-O. I’m surprised they do not want it but not all collect or are sentimental I guess. Yours is nice.
2nd reverse refers to 7TF Rev of 78 (1st rev is 8TF, 3rd is Rev of 79). From the picture, it could be anything between AU55 and MS63, or it could be cleaned. There's too much information missing to be able to tell because of the overexposed parts.
Must have been the lack of coffee at that point. I would have understood the 8TF 7TF. It just wasn't clicking. Obviously.
According to Coin Facts the 1893 O had a mintage of 300,000 (supposedly). The 1893 S had a mintage of 100,000 (supposedly). I can't afford an 1893 S, but I do have a low grade 1893 O:
I thought the difference much closer but I could be mistaken.. even est. survival rates of both (30k-10k) keep the difference but then I'm happy to own "any" 93 Like you my date set includes a low grade o
